Prompt: Many holidays center around traditions. Describe one tradition that is important to you or your family and explain why it still matters (or why it no longer does).

One holiday tradition that is important to my family is eating a big meal together on Thanksgiving. Every year, my family gathers at one house, and everyone brings a dish to share. We sit at the table, talk, laugh, and sometimes argue a little, but it always feels special because we are all together. This tradition still matters because it gives us time to slow down and focus on each other, rather than being busy with school, work, or our phones.

Summary: Today in class, I worked on my project.

Reflection: I learned more about my poem.
