In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?
One time someone new joined our baseball team, and he didn’t know any of us. At first, he seemed quiet and like he didn’t fit in because we already had our routines and inside jokes. Some teammates didn’t talk to him much, and it made him feel left out. But after he played a few games and helped us win, everyone started including him. In the end, the team felt closer because we learned to welcome new people.
